Application Portfolio Owner & Analyst 'Channels-Mobile'


Job description

In this position you are end-to-end responsible for the management of a portfolio of SNCB applications in terms of performance, stability, coherence, lifecycle and user-friendliness. In addition, you will also participate in functional analyzes within the same application portfolio. This includes the following applications:

  • ITRIS = Mobile device used by the train conductors (+3.000 devices)
  • eDrive = Mobile device used by the train drivers (+3.500 devices)
  • LINDA = Mobile devices and applications used by the train conductors and the train drivers in the context of the new departure procedure
  • ITRIS Phase Out = the successor to the current ITRIS device

You act (together with colleagues) as a subject matter expert of the applications within your portfolio and advise internal and external stakeholders. You ensure the knowledge and use of the applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a point of contact for Business Process Owners and colleagues; solve four-line incidents and structural problems in consultation with all parties involved
  • Act as an escalation point for incidents, problems, service requests, change requests for the applications in your portfolio
  • Communicate and consult with all possible parties who are closely involved in the proper functioning of your application portfolio, with the aim of creating support and actively bridging the distance between IT and the customer
  • Monitor the reserved budget and the provided resources for the applications in your portfolio
  • Analyze the customer's needs / problems by gathering information from all involved, conducting study and research work, challenging the customer, etc.
  • Translate the functional needs into specifications and solutions
  • Report on a regular basis on the progress of the analyzes and proposed solution and ensures formal validation of this solution in areas such as architecture
  • Propose the final products (process analysis, business cases,…) to the customer
  • Participate in tests (functional, technical, availability and performance) of the developed applications according to the created test scenarios
  • Translate the functional analysis into a configuration taking into account the specific requirements of the module(s) used
  • Draw up the necessary documentation and provide training material

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience as a functional or technical analyst; at least 2 years of experience as a project manager (team +5 employees) Experience within a support team is an advantage
  • Experience (knowledge is an asset) with mobile technologies and cloud is a must:
  • Azure Cloud Services, Xamarin, .NET WPF, Web Apps, …

  • Good knowledge of Dutch, French and English, both orally and in writing
