Senior SAP CO & PS Functional Specialist


Job description

You act as a key player in the evolution and support of the SAP Controlling & Project systems application and its interfaces in the SNCB system landscape. This includes:

  • Manage the controlling processes
  • Manage the project system processes
  • Master data management ( Cost elements, cost centers, internal orders, WBS, …)
  • Fiori applications
  • Interfaces to and from different Legacy Applications via SAP PO/PI and SAP Idocs and web services
  • Interfaces to and from other SAP systems

Provide day-to-day excellence in Functional & Technical Application Support which entails:

  • End to End responsibility for resolving assigned incidents/requests
  • Diagnosing/Analyzing issues and changes, design solutions
  • Preparation of functional/technical specifications using technical expertise
  • Customizing in SAP CO and PS

Major Accountabilities:

  • Incident handling, problem and change management, including the unit-, integration- and regression testing of the solution. This also includes drawing up functional specifications for the development team and customizing the SAP CO & PS application.
  • Work with NMBS Process Leads, NMBS key users and other BA Finance members to operationally manage assigned change requests, bug fixes and small operational enhancements. Ensure fit with the existing solutions to achieve customer/user satisfaction, engagement/adoption by the business.
  • Actively bring in best practices, out-of-the box thinking, insights and technology trends to help improve the SAP CO & PS application and level of service regarding the application.
  • Proactively try to improve support, training, processes and communication with regard to the SAP CO & PS application.
  • Actively participate in small or larger projects that involve changes to the SAP CO & PS application.

You will report to the Finance Business Area Lead and will work closely with the SNCB Finance department and other SNCB IT functions.

Requirements

  • University (Master) degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze functional requirements and translate these into functional specifications and technical implementations.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in customizing and maintaining SAP CO and PS:
    • Strong Experience with the SAP CO & PS modules:
      • CO-OM, CO-ORD, planning and actuals
      • CO-PC with a strong integration to PP, PM and CS
      • CO-PA accounting based
      • CO-PCA
      • PS financials with a strong integration to PS logistics and Asset accounting
      • FCC (Financial closing cockpit) with BPA job scheduler integration
    • SAP OData and Fiori Design experience considered as an advantage
    • SAP BRF plus knowledge is considered as an advantage
    • Experience in integration with other SAP ECC modules FI, SD, MM , BW, HR.
    • Other SAP experience: LSMW, Solman, EnableNow, Abap debugging, job scheduler BPA.
    • Experience with S4/HANA is considered as an advantage
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow, OTRS, HP ALM (QC) and EA Sparx considered as an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of the core financial processes
  • Knowledge of IFRS is considered as an advantage
  • Strong communication skills. The candidate should be able to verbally communicate, read and write in Dutch, French and English
  • Strength in building and reinforcing good governance, risk management and strong operational practices
  • Have more than 7 years of relevant experience in a similar function or through project experience
  • Have completed at least 3 SAP implementation cycles
  • Enthusiastic team player able to work independently
  • Strong analytical and problem solving mind, knowing how to separate main issues from side-issues and getting them solved quickly.
