Teamlead Project Management

Job description

Our Project & Portfolio Management Office (currently called Project Delivery Organisation) centralises all Project and Program Managers. Today they are split into two teams, but to ensure a smooth coordination and correct follow-up of the large number of Project Managers and more in depth follow-up of the projects, we are looking for two additional teamleads. Each of the four teamleads Project Management will be responsible for the projects within one or more specific business areas.

  • You are responsible for the planning, management and delivery of program objectives to agree milestones, quality and budget. You are ultimately responsible for delivery of the projects within time and budget.
  • You establish best practices, define and standardize process and framework within the team and you communicate and implement the (new) methodology and processes within the entire company.
  • You challenge business requirements and functional designs and you challenge for alternative proposals with a positive impact on the business case.
  • You supervise a team of approximately 15 Project Managers and Program Managers. You set their objectives and evaluate them, you check and approve timesheets, ensure the right training in collaboration with HR, ...
  • You develop Program Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), track them and report issues for management action.
  • You define evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements.
  • You coach Project and Program Managers and guide/facilitate the further development of the PM community.


  • Master’s Degree or equivalent through experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Project & Program Management and Business processes, of which preferably at least 5 years as a people manager within the focus domain of IT
  • In depth knowledge of ITSM and ITBM processes; experience with ServiceNow is an asset
  • Project Management certification: PM², PMBOK and/or PMI
  • Knowledge of Agile and IT4IT
  • Able to apply change, risk and resource management principles when needed
  • Fluent in Dutch / French / English, spoken and written
  • You work closely with colleagues from different teams and disciplines and are customer-oriented
  • You have a high level of organisational sensitivity and are resistant to stress
