We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Functional Analyst to join our Real-Time Operations team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering reliable and efficient traffic & incident management solutions. 


As a Functional Analyst, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business requirements are accurately translated into functional specifications.

You will be responsible for analyzing current processes, work with stakeholders and implementing solutions that enhance communication, centralize information, and streamline workflow management.

Business Requirements & Analysis:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand and document their needs, challenges, and goals

  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and interviews to gather input and build consensus

  • Create clear, practical business requirements that address stakeholder needs

Functional Specifications:

  • Transform business requirements into detailed functional specifications

  • Develop features, user stories, and acceptance criteria

  • Collaborate with architecture, development and QA teams to ensure requirements are clear, feasible, and aligned with system capabilities

  • Create detailed documentation including process flows and integration specifications (e.g. API integrations)

Project Support & Collaboration:

  • Maintain and update requirements documentation as projects evolve

  • Participate in bug review processes and User-Acceptance Testing campaigns

  • Support development and testing teams throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Master's degree in business management, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Functional Analyst, with a proven track record in both gathering business requirements and defining functional specifications

Technical Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail

  • Proficiency with tools like JIRA and Confluence for documenting and managing requirements

  • Familiarity with API integrations

  • Familiarity with SQL is a plus

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus

Languages & Work Arrangement:

  • Proficiency in English required

  • Fluency in French and/or Dutch required

  • Availability to work onsite at least 2 days per week, with flexibility as needed

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to adjust messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative

  • Customer-oriented and team-player
