As a Project Manager you are part of the business area ‘physical Security and Safety&Well-being’ and report to the Business Area Lead. You are responsible for one or several projects from a to z, meaning that you manage the delivery of the projects assigned to you in terms of scope, time, budget and quality. And this in the domains of application development and / or purchase.
You will be building the digitalization of NMBS and will be creating the right values to prepare the NMBS for an efficient and performant future.
What do we expect from you?
- Project Preparation
- Manage the creation of the first estimates on resources and cost needs
- Supervise the preliminary study and shape the start-up of the project
- Manage the establishment and validation of the detailed scope, planning and budget in close collaboration with the client (NMBS) and our IT teams
- Draft and follow up the project plan and ensure that the necessary documentation is created
- Assure compliance with Legal Obligations (like GDPR, Security, …)
- Mapping and taking into account the internal and external dependencies
- Project Organisation
- Manage the project team
- Assure a correct stakeholder management in order to provide optimal business satisfaction
- Connect and collaborate with the client, IT Architects, the delivery teams and IT Business Area Leads, as well as with our external sourcing partner TCS and various suppliers
- Act as a central point of contact for all questions regarding the projects assigned to you
- Orchestrate activities between different IT and business roles (architecture, analysts, delivery managers, business)
- Monitor the project budget and estimates
- Identify, manage and mitigate issues and risks, coordinate towards solutions in close collaboration with the project team and / or the IT supplier and escalate before it's too late
- Organise / set up and lead the project status and steering committees
- Manage scope changes and their financial and timing consequences
- Ensure the timely delivery of all activities that fall under the responsibility of the project
- Define and agree on communication, training and handover towards the involved internal client
- Reporting & Quality Control
- Conduct internal quality controls to guarantee the quality of the deliverables
- Master, follow-up and report the status/progress of the project in terms of scope, budget and capacity
- Run intermediate project reviews and determine improvement sessions
Exigences
We are looking for an awesome project manager with the following experience and/or competencies:
- You have a positive and constructive approach, both as a team player as well as in supporting the positive image of Ypto
- You are a clear communicator upstream and downstream, separate core information from details and define concise messages
- You are able to negotiate with different levels in the company, to close discussions to derive conclusions and to handle conflict
- You have knowledge of Project Management methodologies, preferably PM² and/or PMBOK, SAFe, agile…
- You understand IT application development life cycle management and it's underlying architectural and infrastructure components
- You preferably hold a university degree in ICT or electronics, or equivalent through experience.
You comply with the following conformities:
- You possess professional proficiency in Dutch, French as well as English
- You have 5+ years of experience as a project manager for Software delivery projects
- You have 3+ years of experience in agile / scrum delivery teams
- You have project management experience with at least 3 projects in a “buy” model and have run several RFPs
